P7 Pond Repair - The TECHNICAL DataThe Description P7 Pond Repair has been formulated especially for the pond builder. It consists of two pastes which, when mixed together can be used for filling holes and cracks where structural strength and water resistant are importance. The Uses It is highly effective as a bonding aid and will bond almost any material to itself or to another providing there is a ‘key’ (rough surface). It is ideal for sealing bottom drains, filter pipe work and sides of ponds, especially cracks and crazed surfaces. We have found demand for P7 paste in other areas such as swimming pools, concrete repair, timber repair and even surfboards – the list is not exhaustive. P7 can be used as a bedding for brick work over liner, as it is not only a stronger bond than cement but also water resistant. A possible method of application would be to apply a layer of paste to the bedding concrete and place the liner on top of it – apply a further layer of P7 on top of the liner and apply the brickwork thereby sandwiching the liner between the two layers of paste forming a seal. P7 does not totally adhere to butyl liner but it poses a significant improvement on traditional methods used with added advantages. P7 is stronger than concrete. The Packaging P7 is packed in 0.5kg 1kg and 2kg The Instructions Preparation – Surfaces should be clean and dry free from oil or grease and other forms of contaminates. Dust and loose material should be removed prior to use. Mixing and Application – Mix the entire contents of both packs together until a uniform colour is reached. Apply using a wet pallet knife or trowel. Slightly wetting the applicator will help in smoothing and finishing. If using part contents be sure to take equal amounts from each pot. Because it is a two-pack system the two parts once mixed together will start reacting from that point so the amount you mix you must use or be thrown away. With P7 once it is mixed you have 40 – 60 minutes to use it. This is known as ‘pot life’. P7 will cure in 24 hours at room temperature but may take longer in colder temperatures. This is known as full cure. The Storage Store in a dry, cool and frost free place in their original container. Shelf life – 12 months in the above conditions. The Cleaning This product does not dissolve in water. However water does aid the removal from hands if used with soap and a scrubbing brush. We recommend the use of disposable gloves when using this product. For "P" Products
